With over 20 years of acting experience and extensive training in theatre and mime, Stephanie Breton has easily transitioned into the role of intimacy director. Having previously worked as a figure skating coach and choreographer for 15 years, she has always been captivated by the way physical movements express emotions and human connections. Her transition to intimacy directing in 2018 was a natural progression, enabling her to utilize her skills in movement and body storytelling to create authentic scenes for both film and theatre.
As an intimacy director, Stephanie enjoys working with the production right from the project’s inception. She can organize exploratory sessions to create a safe working environment that fosters creativity, allowing performers to feel at ease and self-assured in expressing their vulnerability. Her methodology aims to improve the quality of performances by creating a safe space for actors to deeply immerse themselves in the emotional facets of their roles, adding to the depth and authenticity of their performances.
